As some of you might have spotted on social media, Friday saw the Verve team put on their festive glad-rags and get together for our annual Christmas party and team recognition awards. We were all deprived of our Christmas celebrations last year (but let’s not dwell on that!) – so, we were well overdue to have a team gathering to both celebrate with old friends and get to know ALL the new faces that have joined the team in the last year. This year’s party theme was ‘Winter Wonderland’ and the team rose to the occasion with sparkles and shimmer galore, with the wonderful Abi Alton setting the festive tone with her beautiful music.

Our team awards are always the main focus of the night, which gives us a chance to reflect on the amazing work we’ve delivered over the year and celebrate those team members who have really gone above and beyond in their roles.

So, without further ado, here are this year’s categories, finalists and winners…

Manager’s Player of the Year Award

This award recognises those who have overcome a particular challenge or is no stranger to hankering down and powering through when the going gets tough. Their line managers believe they are consistent in their efforts and have an admirable work ethic and embodying the company values comes naturally.

And the winner is… Ali Wilson!

The ‘Got Your Back’ Award

The first of our ‘values-based awards’ is an accolade that recognises those who always have the needs of their colleagues, clients and wider business at the heart of all that they do. Someone who is the ultimate team player – picking up extra work, taking on new challenges, supporting others in their development, late nights, early mornings, you name it – and does it all with a smile on their face!

And the winner is… Rachael Wilson!

 

The ‘Innovation’ Award

The second of our ‘values-based awards’, this award recognises individuals who are no strangers to creating new solutions and services that benefit us and our clients. They love nothing more than developing themselves and our businesses further, maintaining our USP and making sure we can continue to pave the way and progress financial services forward.

 

And the winner is… Erin Mather!

The ‘World Class Quality’ Award

The last of our ‘values-based awards’, this one is awarded to someone who consistently strives to deliver world-class quality service to clients and colleagues alike. They are thorough and methodical, whilst maintaining efficiency and productivity, and always deliver high-quality output.

 

And the winner is…Holly Johnson!

The ‘Performance’ Award

A new category was introduced this year, in order to recognise high-performing individuals who consistently strive to not just meet, but exceed their performance measures. They’re successful in managing their own workload and deadlines (with little to no supervision), remain flexible and are no stranger to hard-graft!

 

And the winner is…Sunaina Khaylar!

The Verve Award

The most prestigious award of the evening. No shortlist, just one very worthy and deserving winner, as voted for by our Leadership Team.

This award is for someone who has had a standout year – has been consistent in their efforts, undoubtedly champions all company values and simply deserved the recognition of the positive impact they have on the business and those around them.

And the winner is…Christian Markwick!
