We’re excited! We have been nominated for our very first Tech award (hopefully the first in a very long line…) at the Tees Tech Awards. As we look to shine spotlight on all the new tech that we are working on at The Verve Group, we are delighted that some of this work is already being recognised – especially within our own region.

The Tees Tech Awards celebrate local digital innovation in the Tees Valley and look to highlight companies that are contributing to the area’s thriving tech scene; which is exactly our mission, disrupting the industry and changing the face of finance for the good of everyone.

With this in mind, we are delighted to have been nominated for the Tees Tech For Good Award for our use of technology in the delivery of our not-for-profit initiative, We Are Change. This initiative provides fully funded training and qualifications via sponsorship to those who otherwise may not have had the opportunity to join the industry. Removing the financial barrier to entry has improved social mobility in finance and enhanced diversity and inclusion. We believe that the only way that the financial sector can remain relevant and at the forefront of innovation is the attraction and retention of new talent, done so through new technology.

Cathi’s determination to change the way technology is used within finance is prominent within the industry and as a result, The Verve Group is now synonymous with innovation and technology, and this nomination proves that. We are constantly evolving and taking strides to develop new, innovative solutions to help the sector to grow. Some things we have already done (and are very proud of) include:

• Developed the first ever advice compliance software.
• Built bespoke technology to enable the paraplanning team to grow from 1 person to over 30.
• Started our biggest digital project yet – streamlining our existing technology into one integrated platform, alongside a variety of brand new features and services. Stay tuned for more details…

So, we are dusting off our glad rags (it’s so nice to be able to do these things in person again) and getting ready to attend what promises to be a very enjoyable (and probably boozy) night in the company of the best tech companies in the North East. We’re hoping for many more…
