We Are Change

In late 2020, in the thick of the Covid-19 global pandemic, we were feeling frustrated and unsettled like many others. But more than that, we were also feeling inspired – that despite the upside-down world we were inhabiting, there was something energising about the gift of time that came with the world being on ‘pause’.

There’s a constant rhetoric in financial services about the threats posed to the industry as a result of the impending advice gap. There have been many initiatives in recent years to attract new people into financial services but unfortunately, we still see greater volumes of professionals leave than we see new ones enter.

This, coupled with the collapse of other sectors as a result of Covid-19, such as hospitality, and with many school/college leavers leaving education with unexpected grades, it’s a chance to not recruit, but to attract and train, new career-hungry talent. This means laying the foundations now so that there’s a greater talent pool to tap into on the brighter side of the pandemic.

Ever determined to achieve our mission at The Verve Group – to shout about the amazing roles in financial services and build career options for those who’d otherwise never consider it – we felt that it was the perfect time to launch our ‘We Are Change’ initiative. And so, here we are.

The initiative

It’s made possible by the support of altruistic individuals and businesses who understand their role as change-makers – all keen to play their part in the solution, and not just talk about the problem. The training programme is delivered by The Art of Finance, an established training company within our group. After a rigorous recruitment process, selected candidates will be supported through their Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning with the CII. The Art of Finance will deliver educational workshops and practical skills e-Learning – all of which is needed to succeed in a range of entry-level roles within financial services. The Art of Finance

The training programme is delivered by The Art of Finance, an established training company within our group.

The main goal at The Art of Finance is to train and upskill those that will make up the future of financial services, in an interesting, creative and informative way. These aren’t always words associated with finance – and they are well aware of the perception of finance as a bit dull and bit ‘old school’. But when it comes to The Art of Finance, this couldn’t be further from the truth; financial services is undergoing a revolution, with technology rapidly changing the way it is delivered, and a whole new wave of young, vibrant and innovative people choosing it as their career.

The Art of Finance will deliver educational workshops and practical skills e-Learning – all of which is needed to succeed in a range of entry-level roles within financial services.
