About the Role

Due to continued business growth, we are now looking to appoint a Head of Client Relations, to pull together the existing client relations staff, assist with training the existing team and helping to recruit and grow the team in line with the business over time. The role would also require the successful candidate to promote the group as a whole; attending client meetings, representing the company at events, and spotting new business opportunities. The individual would also be responsible for and required to report on group sales targets at quarterly board meetings.

We are looking for someone with previous knowledge of the financial services industry, preferably the IFA market. The candidate will also need to have experience of client relations, business development roles or similar and be willing to keep learning and developing as the businesses grow also.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Have overall responsibility for the sales targets across The Verve Group.
  • Manage and train the existing team.
  • Create and monitor a sales plan for the businesses within The Verve Group.
  • In order to implement the above sales plan, work alongside the marketing team to help with marketing ideas to ensure leads are being generated and help with content where necessary for campaigns.
  • Promote the overall group and create leads.

About You

Essential  

  • Have 5+ years experience in a client relations/business development role.
  • Have some financial services knowledge.
  • The ability to self-manage, keeping track of different projects to meet deadlines.
  • Manage a small team, and help with recruitment of new team members going forward.
  • Be able to pre-empt issues and provide solutions.
  • Enthusiastic, ambitious and someone who loves to be part of something new and different.
  • The ability to stay focused under pressure – we’re not joking when we say it gets busy!

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the compliance and paraplanning markets would be advantageous.
  • Have previously delivered sales training.
