We are looking for an experienced Paraplanner Manager to join us and help make our already amazing team, even more marvellous! This role is for someone who is an experienced paraplanner, but looking to progress in their career and is looking for an opportunity to apply their current skills, while further developing their knowledge and experience.

About the Role

We are currently in a large growth phase within Para-Sols and are looking to create an additional role of a Paraplanning Manager to assist the current team in their growth and development as we look to increase our service offerings and grow the current team.

We are looking for an individual who has finance (and preferably paraplanning) experience, but is also a dedicated people-person to help develop our large team. We have c. 20 paraplanners in our current team (though we are recruiting for more) and they vary from graduates with no experience, to chartered paraplanners. This is a very busy department, that we are looking to expand and develop even more.

The paraplanning team is crucial to Para-Sols, the largest of companies within The Verve Group and therefore the management of this team is a new, crucial role.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Supporting, developing and managing the team of paraplanners. Assisting them to meet their individual objectives and goals. Completing paraplanner reviews and one-to-ones.
  • Report on paraplanning KPIs and MI to the Para-Sols Director.
  • Managing workflow, case distribution and maintaining our SLAs.
  • Work with the Administration Manager to ensure a cohesive strategy throughout the teams.
  • Liaise with the compliance company to ensure all regulatory benchmarks are appropriately met.
  • Identify any trends, or potential issues and problem solve.
  • Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge to assist with training and development.
  • Liaise with our clients, and uphold a high level of communication and client relationships.
  • Upholding the culture of Para-Sols and The Verve Group; reiterating their missions and visions.

Essential  

  • Financial services (preferably paraplanning) experience.
  • Management and leadership skills and qualities.
  • Values-driven individual, aligned with The Verve Group values.

  • The ability to stay focused under pressure – we’re not joking when we say it gets busy!

Desirable

  • Paraplanning /Management experience.
  • Diploma or equivalent in Financial Planning.
  • Northern location.
  • Fintech knowledge.
