Student Support Officer

Darlington Operations Dependent on experience Full Time (we’ll consider reduced hours for the right candidate)

We are looking for an organised and enthusiastic person to provide administrative support to ensure the smooth-running of our training courses and provide our students with a positive experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have the most incredible organisation skills, will be confident multi-tasking and picking up a range of tasks as well as having exceptional customer service skills to encourage and support our students in whatever way they need to succeed.

About the Role

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a support role, that is able to multi task and anticipate problems and deal with them before they arise. It will be your role to work with the Course Creators to arrange the logistics needed to get students successfully enrolled on to their courses.

 

Typical duties and responsibilities

  • Managing all necessary logistics for all courses – including venue bookings and/or set-up of virtual classroom sessions and communicating with students and presenters.
  • Have a firm handle on all course timetables and including the coordination of sending study materials to students in line with their timetable.
  • Support students by booking their exams as well as messages of support post exam.
  • Successful enrol all students on to their relevant courses such as welcome emails, onboarding and user support on our e-learning platform.
  • Confidently meet and greet guests in the office and be responsible for venue hospitality when used for training days and events.
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects if/when they develop.

About You

At least two years office experience, ideally showing organisational and/or PA skills. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the various roles, and who isn’t phased by a wide number of tasks happening at once.   • Top notch computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office.
