Giving back to our community is important to our team at Verve. Every year we vote on an annual charity that is close to the team’s heart to support, through fundraising activities, challenges and events. Everyone is also invited to join our ‘Charity and Good Causes Champions’, to help decide how this money to raised and support the organisation of fundraising activities.

One of the biggest things that lead me to my application for Verve was its company culture - their values were ones I really resonated with. I was given the opportunity back in 2014 to further develop my career in Paraplanning. Ever since I joined, I have really enjoyed the fast paced environment - we very much live by the work hard, play hard motto. I've learnt so much since I started and feel like I continue to grow and develop into the role I have today. The flexibility is great and find my working from home days give me chance to get my head down and also gives me a good work/life balance, especially with having a young family.

I joined Verve straight out of university. While I was looking for a role, the culture at Verve really stood out from the rest. I had no experience in financial services prior to joining the marketing team, but was immediately made to feel welcome and got stuck in straight away. Colleagues quickly become friends and everyone always has each other’s back, both at work and outside the office environment. Sunday night dread is now a thing of the past, and every week is a new exciting challenge.

While I was at University, I was dreading the fact that I would have to wake up and go to a 9-5 job, but I've realised since joining Verve it doesn’t have to be like that at all! I look forward to coming in each day to work on and constantly improve Dextera, knowing that what we do is supporting the financial firms with their day-to-day work. The social side is a huge bonus too, everyone is so friendly and there’s many different things to get involved with, including wellbeing sessions, themed quizzes, Sports Day, Christmas and summer parties, office treats and flexible working!
