We’re live – how Dex-citing!

Everyone should’ve received an automated emailed from Dextera inviting them to login for the first time. And according to our analytics, just over a hundred of you did within the first half hour!  

As a reminder, you’ll find a range of tutorial videos and checklists in the Resource Hub to help you find your way round the system. We have our DexTaskforce (appropriately named the Dex-sperts) on hand to support too – email them on dexterahelp@weareverve.co.uk or call 01325 952116.

All Hands on Dex

It’s the official countdown – we’re in the final hours of saying an emotional farewell to Rise and Apricity (eek). But, we’re also just days away from saying an even more emotional welcome to Dextera (double eek)…

Friday 30th June: From 4pm, access to Rise and Apricity systems will no longer be available.

  • You won’t have access to any systems this coming weekend so please be sure you have a copy of any documents you may need over that time.
  • You can submit any new cases as normal up until this point. All live cases will be migrated into the new system, Dextera, ready for you to access on Monday as normal.

Monday 3rd July: From 8am, Dextera is live and available for you to go in and access as normal.

  • See below for a full step by step guide of what you need to know to access your new account in Dextera.
  • Also note that the Para-Sols and Apricity websites will also be redirected to our new Verve website – so don’t be alarmed when they disappear!
  1. On Monday morning, you’ll recieve an automated email from Dextera (it’ll be sent to the same email address you use currently). You will also be able to access Dextera by clicking here, or the log in button located in the top right corner of the Verve website (which will appear on Monday!).
  2. To add an additional layer of security to our systems and to minimise the need for password sharing, you’ll now receive a ‘magic token’ in your mailbox each time you log in. Just copy and paste the token into the log in screen and get immediate access to your new dashboard.
  3. If you are the designated Lead User for your firm, you’ll be prompted to read and sign your new Terms of BusinessNo big changes, they’re just an updated version to reflect our consolidation to The Verve Group and the use of Dextera.
  • All users will be able to access, and see the status, of any live paraplanning cases and file checks which they have uploaded or where they are the assigned adviser on that case. For a deeper look around, head over to the ‘Projects’ area of the system.
  • Apricity Managed clients will be able to access all existing company documents from within the new ‘Firm Framework’ area.
  • Check out the Resource Hub for a series of video tutorials to help you get set-up and explore some of the new features.
  • The Lead User will be able to see all other users within their team in the Firm Profile > Staff area of the system – all active users within the current systems will be migrated over.
  • The Lead User will have full system access (as they are considered the ‘paid user’ for that firm); all other users will be migrated as ‘free users’ unless you are already paying for additional users via our Apricity Managed and Lite service.

The Pounds & The Pennies.

With just two weeks to go until we go live with Dex – our new technology and your soon-to-be new best friend – this week we wanted to get into the detail of the new price structure, to reflect the new business and proposition. So, let’s get straight to it…  

From 3rd July, you’ll pay… 

  • A minimum monthly payment of £75 + VAT – this is a Verve membership fee and a Dextera subscription licence all in one. This replaces the current monthly fee in Para-Sols, or the special offer for Apricity Lite clients. If you are a client of both, you’ll now benefit from a cost-saving of using just one system. 
  • If you are an Apricity Managed client, you’ll continue to pay your normal monthly service charge to reflect the ongoing compliance support we currently provide you with in addition to your new Dextera license(s).   
  • If you are a T&C client, you’ll continue to pay your normal monthly fees for your ongoing T&C support, in addition to your new Dextera license(s).
  • Individual paraplanning cases and file checks will continue to be charged for separately, just as they are now (We’ve linked a price list here to make it super easy to refresh yourself).   

To access Dextera, you need at least one full licence user, who gets all the benefits above. For additional users you have two options:  

  1. A free user (limited system access). It means they can go into the system to submit, view and manage cases (including paraplanning and file checks) as well as submitting queries. However, they are not able to access the more advanced features, such as annual testing and CPD management. In order to access those areas, they must be a paid user.
  2. A paid user (unlimited system access). There’s a number of options regarding their permission levels (whether they are a system lead, or a team supervisor for example) but these don’t impact the fees.   
  • We believe that firms will get the most value from Dex if they have their whole team in there; it provides the full business operation dashboard we are working on creating. For this reason, we have moved away from per user pricing (as seen in Apricity) and instead have bandings.    

    1 user | £75 + VAT 

    2-5 users | £125 + VAT 

    6-10 users | £175 + VAT  

    11-20 users | £225 + VAT 

    21+ users | Bespoke Pricing

The What, The When, The How.

As with any new tech, there may be some trepidation on what that new system will be like, how you and the team will use it and what features will add the most value. So, we come armed with some important details to ensure you know exactly what to expect from the new system and specifically – the what, the when and the how.

What: New technology means you can expect new, additional, enhanced features – lots of them – in addition to all the normal functionality you’re used to with our existing system (whether it be Rise for paraplanning, or Apricity for your compliance).

When: Dextera will be live for access on Monday 3rd July, from 8am and our existing systems (Rise and Apricity) will shut down on Friday 30th June, from 4pm.

How: Read the appropriate section below to find out how it’ll work for you.

  • We’ll create your new firm record with all the information we already know about you from the Rise system.  
  • We’ll add all active users within your firm. 
  • We’ll designate one of your active users as a ‘Lead User’ based on our knowledge of your firm and team. If we’re unsure, we’ll be in touch with you to confirm this detail.  
  • The ‘Lead User’ will be responsible for agreeing to the new Terms of Business in Dextera – this will then activate the firm account and all associated active users 
  • We’ll migrate any live ongoing cases you have in the system as at 4pm on Friday 30th June. 
  • We’ll create your new firm record with all the information we already know about you from the Apricity system.  
  • We’ll add the current Lead User (which can be found in the Firm Profile area of the existing system).

  • If you’d like to change your Lead User, please make the change in the current system by Friday 23rd June.

See Dex in action.

Those of you who have followed our growth over the last 14 years will know that we thrive on innovation, ambition and exhilaration and so it’ll be no surprise to learn that in the last 18 months we’ve been working away behind the scenes on the final piece of the jigsaw – the masterpiece that brings all of our threads together.

Goodbye Para-Sols, Apricity and The Art of Finance.
Hello The Verve Group.

For the last 14 years we’ve worked tirelessly to develop and establish our now industry-renowned brands – Para-Sols, Apricity and The Art of Finance. Collectively, we work with over 500 firms, delivering a wide range of outsourced support that adds value to you, your team and your firm and enable you to grow and thrive.

In 2019, we created The Verve Group, initially as an umbrella brand to tie those services together and streamline some of the organised chaos that came with running four separate businesses, each with the same client base. However, since its inception The Verve Group has grown its own arms and legs – offering firms additional support beyond paraplanning, compliance and training – and has since become an established name of its own, as a modern and innovative provider of outsourced support services for financial advice firms.

And so, from 3rd July 2023, the external world will say goodbye to Para-Sols, Apricity and The Art of Finance and instead, say hello to The Verve Group.
